#6: This game was a gunboat, and it is autumn. Why did England attack North Atlantic with support?

difficulty: intermediate

The solution:

Attacking North Atlantic with support assured England that unit will be dislodged, therefore giving Germany the opportunity to disband and rebuild it in Kiel, as an army.
England couldn't be sure which German fleet will attack Mid-Atlantic, he had 1/3 chance guessing right as EC didn't guess right proves, therefore letting North Atlantic stay in place was much bigger risk.
If Germany had realized that England was actually helping their cause by attacking him, the game would have been saved and drawn.

If Germany had built a new army, that could have held Munich and Burgundy could have held Marseilles in next Spring, meaning by autumn Burgundy can hold Munich too, as the Turkish fleet got dislodged in spring, letting Gascony hold Marseilles.

Sadly Germany didn't realize England attacked him to save the game :( and Turkey won.

Conclusion: sometimes a friendly attack is really friendly and wants to send a different message. Always consider disbanding (and rebuilding) instead of retreating.
