#5: Can Austria protect all SCs around Black sea and Moscow as well for 100%, without using Galicia and Smyrna at all?

difficulty: intermediate

The solution:

Yes. Austria can bounce himself in Sevastopol by Moscow and Rumania, but in case Black sea supports Moscow->Sevastopol, Russia might get Moscow. Therefore Constantinople must(!) attack Black sea, in order to take away any possible support. With this solution Austria can spare Galicia for other tasks.

As you can see Austria had 18SCs with Smyrna+Berlin, so he had to keep both, therefore he couldn't use Smyrna for protecting SCs around Black sea. Also Berlin/Munich wasn't safe (50% chance keeping both and winning) that's why it was essential for Galicia to head that direction. Of course it was easy for austria to grab Tunis, but by the time he could have lost both Berlin and Munich.

Conclusion: if you protect a territory by bouncing yourself, your opponent might support move one of your units. Like in the example below:

France wanted to protect Marseilles by bouncing himself, but Italy supported Spain back, therefore hindering France from getting a new build.
